Moler Raceway Park beats Mother Nature on Opening Night 2012
L&M Performance was the presenting sponsor for opening night at Moler Raceway Park but the story was the racers and track crew beating the impending storms that were rapidly approaching the speedway. In the Mt Orab Ford Late Models division it was quality over quantity of cars. While the field of late models was nowhere near full the quality of cars and drivers was very good and made for some great racing. In heat race action it was Chad Stapleton taking heat #1 over Barry Doss and in heat race #2 it was Wayne Chinn taking the checkered flag over Duane Chamberlain. In the $1500 to win 30 lap feature event it was Bradford, Ohio’s Wayne Chinn out front at the start but that would be short lived as Edinburg, Indiana’s Chad Stapleton would take over on lap two and set sail for the remaining 28 laps to take the feature win. Barry Doss would charge to a second place finish at end of race with Duane Chamberlain, John Whitney, and Wayne Chinn rounding out the top five.

Gabbert, Decker, and Gregory Score Season Opening Wins at Lake Cumberland Speedway
An early Saturday afternoon matinee of racing action would kick off the 2012 racing season at Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, KY and feature event winners for the day included Russ Gabbert of Berea, KY in Modifieds, Keith Decker of Somerset, KY in Super Dirt Stocks/Sportsman, and Adam Gregory of Gray, KY in Front Wheel Drives.

Over the winter, Hilltop Speedway has seen many changes and ew clay to the track surface, but opening night racing was the same as it always has been, fast and furious in front of a cold but huge crowd. The Holmes Tire Late Models was dominated by Dresden’s Devin Moran as he set fast time, won his heat race and led all the way in the 25 lap feature.
Ponderosa Speedway’s Final Practice Goes This Friday Evening March 30
Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Larry Yantz and co-promoters Chad and Sarah Yantz are yet another step closer to beginning the 2012 racing season at the 3/8 mile D-shaped red clay oval as the promotional trio is set to present the final practice session of the pre-season on Friday evening March 30 prior to racing getting underway officially on Friday April 6.
Don O’Neal Wins Spring 50 Saturday Night at Florence (KY) Speedway
Don O’Neal of Martinsville, IN took the lead on lap 15 from Darrell Lanigan of Union, KY and went unchallenged the remaining 35 laps in winning the Spring 50 on Saturday Night at Florence (KY) Speedway. Joey Kramer of Hanover, IN led every lap of the Open Wheel Modified Feature to claim the victory. The event kicked off the 2012 racing season at Florence.
Lake Cumberland Speedway Ready to Rock and Roll at “The House of Hardcore Mayhem” in 2012
Lake Cumberland Speedway track promoter Brandon Hardgrove is set to present an action packed 2012 racing season that will begin in mid-March and conclude in October, with no less than 31 events on the racing docket, along with ten Super Late Model events that pay at least $2,000 to win and eight Modified events that pay at least $1,000 to win.
